No Food No Money

You know by now if you have read my Blog that I do not have a great love of Christian TV and the way it portrays the Christian message especially when it comes to money.I hate the way they try and get money from hurting people by falsely claiming that they have to plant a seed ( money ) in order to get something from God ( it makes me so mad ) so here is a fact of all those high powered TV Preachers with their self made up qualifications:

The 12 disciples were not allowed to carry food, money, or extra clothing when they were sent out into the world to spread the word of God.

Why because they were to rely on God to supply their daily needs.

PS God did exactly that!

Our new Prime Minister in the UK Mr G Brown better watch his step in York England because there is a bye law that says:

It is perfectly legal to shoot a Scotsman with a bow and arrow in York,(except on Sundays)

If I were him I would keep in their good books!

Hello Hello who is that

With the great advances in computers,Telephones and everything Electrical here is a strange fact:

There are more than 600 million telephone lines set up around the world today, yet almost half the world’s population has never made a phone call.

Do you think one half has it better than the other?

Water Water Everywhere

When all we hear in the UK News this last few weeks is Water Water Water did you know that one person can live without food for almost a month but survive no longer than a week without water.  Although almost half of the world’s population lives in water-scarce countries, there actually is enough water for everyone.

According to UN records  a person needs a minimum of 50 liters of water a day for drinking, washing, cooking and sanitation, but over a billion people do not have access to it.

If per capita consumption of water resources continues to rise at its current rate, humankind could be using over 90% of all available freshwater within 25 years, leaving just 10% for all other living beings.

Think about it the next time you run a bath!!

I am sorry I Stammer!!

I was told a true story today that made me feel sad and angry at the same time.

It was about a girl who I know very well she is about 37/39 years old lives with her Mother and works with the severely handicapped and has done so for about 25 years. She has a gentle and trusting nature and would always be the first to help somebody in trouble.

She went to see a fun day out at a village about 10/12 miles from where she lived and because there would be a lot of people and cars there her Mother left her to the event and told her to phone on her Mobile phone when she was ready to come home.

She  told me she had a good day out but when she decided to phone home her mobile would not work. She decided to go into a well known local shop the only one open at the time and ask could she use the telephone. She went up to the owner and tried to explain what had happened but the owner said Sorry we do not have a telephone here!

Strange you might say that someone would turn her away like that in fact the Girl was so hurt and confused especially as she had seen a Telephone behind the counter that she walked the whole way home in the rain it took her 3 hours.

Why did the owner tell lies well it could be because the Girl has a Stammer  in fact she has a very bad Stammer and the more she felt embarrassed the more she Stammered

                                               She said this:

If only the owner would have given me 1 minute of her time I could have spoken the words slowly to her and explained what was wrong but because I stammered I was labeled as strange and made to feel like dirt.

I wonder what God would say:

John: What do you think of that God?

God: Sad story

John: Sad people more like !

God: Who the Girl

John: No the shop owner

God: What are you going to do about it?

John: Me what can I do about it?

God:  Why are you so mad with the shop keeper?

John: You know why

God: Tell me

John: People are so ignorant they never take time for anything always running about they never think of the other Person only themselves

God: Do you Mr Goody Two Shoes

John: Well I try

God: How well

John: You know

God: How well

John: Ok I could do more

God: Then why don’t you?

John: You know how it is I don’t like making a fuss

God: Sometimes it is better to speak out to highlight things to educate people but in a gentle way not in a bitter or angry way

John: Why?

God: Because people hear more and understand better when it is said with an educated and caring voice and heart. Teach them to hear more clearly then they can understand even the stammering voice.

John: Why does she stammer Lord?

God: It is a better thing that I listen to the heart and not the mouth John…………….

Mark 7 31 Then he returned from the region of Tyre and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, in the region of the Decapolis. 32 And they brought to him a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment, and they begged him to lay his hand on him. 33 And taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and after spitting touched his tongue. 34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” 35 And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly. 36 And Jesus [8] charged them to tell no one.

Isaiah 32 The heart of the hasty will understand and know,
and the tongue of the stammerers will hasten to speak distinctly

"The end is nigh"

God: John what are you doing?

 John: Packing

God: Packing for what?

John: It’s all over

God: What is all over?

John: It’s all over

God: Have we not been through this bit before?

John: The end is nigh?

God: What end is nigh?

John: The end of the world

God: This will be good I need to sit down

John: We are living in the end times

God: Oh!

John: Yes it said so on Christian TV there will be earthquakes, famine, and fire, war and FLOODS and then the end:

God: Why are you packing shorts thinking it might be hot where you are going?

John: That is not funny

God: What else did they say?

John: They said the world has never been so bad all the things it said in the bible are for this age!!!… The end is nigh!!!!!

God: Nice suitcase where did you get it?

John: Dunnes Stores ….what am I talking about suitcases for when the world is going to end!!

God: John

John: Yes God

God: The world will end when I say it will end not one second sooner, what is important is that you have one life to live and it is what you do with that life that is important  here are some important verses from my book

  2 Timothy 3

But understand this that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

God: But the thing is John I still love them and want to forgive them if only they would turn to me

John: So the world is not going to end yet?

 God: Can’t tell you that

John: But I have packed my suitcase………….

God: Put it back on top of the wardrobe….

John: and?

God: Tell my sheep I am coming and John

John: Yes God

God: Please fed my Sheep….Promise

*What is wrong*

I was thinking today “What is wrong with this World “ Has it got bad lately or was it always like this?I suppose if we look through History man has always been cruel and selfish there has always been fighting and wars and famine and poverty and though man would sometimes blame God “in fact man is very quick to blame God” if we stand back and look at a lot of it we are to blame not God. Many things are done in the name of religion many people have had their lives ruined and many people have died in the name of religion but I wonder has religion or God got anything to do with it at all or is it just our Greed. Is it just me or has standards slipped are we so caught up in ourselves wanting more and more in fact in the West expecting more and more demanding our rights demanding free health care better roads better shops better gadgets for making life easier more money and even though a lot of us get all this we are never satisfied we want more! I still find it hard to believe that half the World is starving and ravaged by war while we over here are worried how to dump our rubbish we have that much food in our houses and supermarkets it takes us hours to plan what we are going to eat The television screens are full of Chiefs (half of who could not boil an egg) but worst of all we make the role models of today and everybody wants to be like their favorite footballer/singer/hairdresser/chief/ most of whom(Not all) are just people with money and not at lot of talent or IQ. Every body wants to be famous even for 10 minutes and have everything they want……….. I think there is something very seriously wrong with that.So half the world is starving/at war/divided/ruled by dictators/ there is famine/disease/distress and poverty in so many third world countries and we over here blame God. That I find very strange indeed.

I wonder what God would say?

God: Hello John

John: Hello God just writing about you

God: Good things I hope

John: now would I write anything bad about you…………

God: what are you writing about?

John: how the world blames you for everything bad

God: oh!

John: now don’t let on you do not know this……..

God: why blame me?

John: well you sort of are in control of everything……..

John: God?

God: Hello John

John: did you not hear me?

God: Yes I can hear very well

John: well………………….

God: thought you were going to tell me about the pastor in America who wants his own airplane said you were going to blog about it……..

John: don’t change the subject please

God: do you really want to know do I really have to tell you

John: Please God

God: Man blames me for a lot of things in fact lots of people blame me for nearly everything bad but you know in the beginning everything was good until man thought he knew better and he still does think that. I still love mankind and am here to forgive him I gave my son you know that hurt me a lot but it was the only way to save mankind…….lots of people have no time for my son Jesus. I also have promised my people this and still many just laugh at me…………

Revelation, chapter 21

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
2: And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband;
3: and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling of God is with men”. He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them;
4: he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away.”
5: And he who sat upon the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Also he said, “Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6: And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the fountain of the water of life without payment.
7: He who conquers shall have this heritage, and I will be his God and he shall be my son.

John: Wow…………….

God: That is only a small part of it

God: Ps How are my sheep?
