Water Water Everywhere

When all we hear in the UK News this last few weeks is Water Water Water did you know that one person can live without food for almost a month but survive no longer than a week without water.  Although almost half of the world’s population lives in water-scarce countries, there actually is enough water for everyone.

According to UN records  a person needs a minimum of 50 liters of water a day for drinking, washing, cooking and sanitation, but over a billion people do not have access to it.

If per capita consumption of water resources continues to rise at its current rate, humankind could be using over 90% of all available freshwater within 25 years, leaving just 10% for all other living beings.

Think about it the next time you run a bath!!
