Zimbabwe inflation is running about 165,000 %

Zimbabwe inflation is running about 165,000 percent. Opponents accuse Mugabe of ruining his country. Zimbabwe was once the envy of the region, now economic collapse and inflation of about 165,000 percent which have led to water, food and fuel shortages, as well as 80 percent unemployment.

So what is the world doing about it….as far as I can see Nothing!!

Here is an example:

In Mauritius, where the 14-nation Southern African Development Community (SADC) is holding a summit on poverty and development, a SADC official said the bloc was unlikely to make a statement on Zimbabwe, saying the meeting was not convened to discuss political issues

There is some hope if the opportunity was to arise:

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg told the summit of Nordic nations that they were ready to launch a “major stabilization and reconstruction package when democracy is fully restored and a credible national economic policy is in place.”

So what needs to happen now? Well this farce needs to end Robert Mugabe needs to be told he lost the election and the people do not want him anymore. He is a dangerous man who at present has to much power and is surrounded by a fully up to date well armed Army supplied by countries like China.

This re – counting of the votes is a joke and is summed up well by MDC spokesman Nelson Chamisa who on Sunday alleged “criminality” in the vote-counting and accused President Robert Mugabe’s regime of “playing games with the people.”
“More than ever before, we are convinced that this regime is playing games with the people,” he told AFP and we have information that in some cases ballot boxes were not properly sealed. This is just a circus and we are not going to endorse such a flawed and criminal process,” he said.” The level of criminality has shown that ZEC is just an extension of ZANU-PF”.

If it was happening here in the UK would you stand for it? would the people of Europe stand by and say nothing?

Just because it is happening in Africa does not mean it is not as serious. Let us all do what we can to say what is happening in Zimbabwe is very wrong and let us urge people in power to be strong and to stand up for the thousands of people in Zimbabwe who at present have no hope.

Mugabe must go and go now along with his hence men.

You Lost Robert Mugabe Go and Go Now!

It is like a Comedy Story. What is going on!
Zimbabwe opposition today failed in a legal bid to release the results of the March 29 Presidential vote.

It is evident that Mugabe lost the vote and surely the world can not let him continue destroying the lives of millions of people he claims to rule!

Shame on the Southern African Leaders for not standing up for the people of Zimbabwe and forcing Robert Mugabe out!
We need to shout out “You Lost Mugabe Go and Go Now!”

Prosperity Gospel

It is good to hear a man of God Terry Quinn ( speaking out about this Prosperity Gospel. I have longed for someone to stand up and say this teaching is wrong. How much money is being wasted on building so called preachers new houses (Mansions) and boosting their rich lifestyle? How many self proclaimed Preachers, Pastors, Prophets Etc are there? And how much money do they make out of people who are desperate? So much money wasted when half the world is starving and needs our help especially from Christians. Jesus never said get saved and get rich but he did promise to provide everything we need which is a totally different thing!
God gave up his Son Jesus to die on a cross for the world so that people may come to know him and have a new life. It is sad that this Prosperity version of Christianity is going out to millions of People especially to people who are sick/starving/desperate/have no one to turn to/when they listen to it they must say to themselves I want that “get saved and Prosper” or “get saved and get healed” or “give money and God will work miracles“Plant a seed and get blessed”
As Christians we need to speak out especially on Christian TV
Terry has the talent and opportunity to speak for millions of Christians who believe that this version of Christianity is very very wrong.
We need to confront these people face on and challenge them.
So many people in our world are hurting/starving/sick/without hope/ yet we have the answer and that answer is free his name is Jesus.
We do not need to pay him or plant seeds we do not need to send for green handkerchiefs or manna bread or miracle water all we need to do is say we believe in him and want a new life where are sins are washed away and Jesus will do it free of charge.
PS He will also provide everything he knows we need  “Free of Charge”

I would love to hear what you think about this Prosperity Gospel

I through I would write a little note about the village in N Ireland I was born and brought up in.
It is called Bessbrook a Quaker Village in Co Armagh and to me it is the best wee part of the world and I feel so privileged to have been a small part of it for over 50 Years I am proud to be called a Brook Boy.
Bessbrook was founded in 1845 as a model village with spacious streets and squares surrounding a large Linen Mill owned by the Quaker Richardson family.
At one time, Bessbrook Linen was among the finest in the world, and the Linen Mill provided most of the employment in the village to hundreds of people who lived in Bessbrook and Newry. I can still remember lying in bed and hearing the Mill Horn sound at 7am and then again at 7.15 am to awaken the workforce for other days work at the Mill. I can still hear the footsteps of the hundreds of workers marching past our house and the sound of talking and laughter as they made their way to work. Tenement houses were constructed by the Mill owners for the workers, many of which were of such good quality that they are still inhabited today. Each house also had an allotment garden for the growing of vegetables, and the area of the village where there were situated is still known as The Gardens although the allotments themselves have been replaced by further housing.
One of the many things I remember is that everybody knew everybody and it did not matter what religion you were. Bessbrook was made up of Quaker, Anglican, Methodist, Presbyterian and Roman Catholic denominations each having their own place of worship and all respecting each others traditions.
Another point of interest is that NO PUBS OR CINEMA’S are allowed to be built or used in the village according to the Quaker Law drawn up before the village was built and as far as I know there is only one village in England that has the same law but I can not remember its name.
Bessbrook has a lot of Interesting history which I will write about in further Blo ggs
Now that there is Peace in N Ireland what a tourist attraction Bessbrook could be and we need to approach the Council to make sure that money is spent in the Area to attract Tourists to such a unique place.
