Jumpers for Chickens

What a great Story!

A Norfolk woman who rescued 1,500 balding battery chickens has had a woolly jumper knitted for each of them to protect them from the cold.

I say well done Jo Eglen, 29, who runs the Little Hen Rescue Centre in Norwich, and has rescued and re-homed a total of 5,750 battery hens.

  2. I have four ex battery hens, rescued by another well deserving cause, the Battery Hen Welfare Trust. They now live the life of luxury and are very happy in their new home. They make amazing pets and are extremely trusting and responsive to humans.
